If you want to travel within Bahrain by public transport during the Bahrain Grand Prix, we recommend using the official shuttle service.

Shuttle

Bahrain Grand Prix organisers offer complimentary shuttle bus services. These shuttles run throughout the Grand Prix week, connecting Bahrain International Airport, a selection of designated hotels, and the Bahrain International Circuit.

In 2024, the free shuttle service operated as follows:

Free shuttles between the airport and selected hotels

• starting a week before the race day
• from 5 AM until 12:00 NOON and from 3 PM until 1 AM
• every 45 minutes

Free shuttles between the airport and the F1 circuit

• starting from the first practice day until race day
• from 6 AM until 4 PM
• every 45 minutes

Free shuttles between selected hotels and F1 circuit

• starting from the first practice day until race day
• from 10 AM until 4 PM
• every 45 minutes

Free shuttles between the F1 circuit, selected hotels and the airport

• starting from the first practice day until race day
• from 6 PM until 11 PM
• every 45 minutes

Free shuttles between selected hotels and airport

• starting from race day until the day after the race
• from 6 PM (8 PM on race day) until 12 AM
• every 45 minutes

Selected hotels: Sofitel, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons Hotel, Intercontinental Regency, Nordic Palace & Spa - Seef, Ibis Seef, Downtown Rotana, The K Hotel, The Olive Hotel (you do not have to be a guest of these hotels in order to take the shuttle for free)

Bus

Outside F1 race weekend, you can also use regular public transportation when travelling within Bahrain.

Public transportation in Bahrain is managed by the Bahrain Public Transport Company (BPTC). They provide a network of more than 25 bus routes linking the different governorates of the kingdom. The buses are regarded as a safe, secure, and cost-effective means of travel.
